Online payments
A payment-ready invoice page for every customer
Every invoice gets a page your customer can pay from, by card, mobile wallet or bank transfer. The money goes to your own Stripe or SSLCommerz account; MetroPay never holds your money.
The problem
Getting paid should not depend on the customer finding your bank details
A PDF with an account number at the bottom asks the customer to do the work: open their banking app, type the reference, and tell you they did it. Every step is a place to stall. A page with a pay button removes the excuses, and a place to report a transfer removes the guesswork.
Step by step
How it works, in three steps
Connect your own payment account
Stripe connects with a few clicks; SSLCommerz takes the store credentials you already have. Either one, or neither.
Send the invoice
The email links to the invoice page, where the pay button already knows the amount and the currency.
Watch the balance fall
Card payments record themselves; bank transfers arrive as a claim you confirm with one click.
Cards and wallets
Through your own account, not ours
Card payments run through the Stripe account you connect, and in Bangladesh through your own SSLCommerz store, which also takes bKash, Nagad and mobile banking. The provider pays you directly under your own agreement; MetroPay never holds, routes or delays the money.
- Stripe Connect for card payments in the currencies Stripe supports for your account
- SSLCommerz for BDT: cards, bKash, Nagad and mobile banking
- Partial payments on invoices you allow it for, with a minimum you set for the workspace
Bank transfers
Bank details on the page, and a way to say "sent"
Show your domestic or international bank details on the invoice page, exactly as you entered them in Settings. When a customer pays by transfer they can report it from the same page, with the amount, the date, a reference and a receipt, and you confirm it once the money shows up.
- Domestic and international bank account details, or your own custom payment method
- Payment claims with an optional receipt upload, confirmed or rejected by your team
- A pending claim pauses reminders for that invoice until you have looked at it
Records
A payment is recorded once and never edited
Every payment, whether by card, transfer, cash or cheque, is a permanent record applied to one or more invoices. An overpayment becomes a credit on the customer's account that you can apply to the next invoice.
- One payment can settle several invoices
- Overpayments become customer credit, applied oldest invoice first
- Optional thank-you email to the customer when a payment is recorded
In practice
A practical example
Northline Studio sends Cedar Row Interiors INV-1041 for $2,100.00. The customer opens the page, pays $1,050.00 by card as a first instalment because Northline allows part payments with a ten percent minimum, then wires the rest a week later and reports it from the page with the bank receipt attached. Sam, the accountant, confirms the transfer and the invoice is paid in full.
Northline Studio is a fictional business; none of these figures are real.
Outcomes
What you get
- A pay button on every invoice, in the customer's currency
- Your money settles in your own Stripe or SSLCommerz account
- Bank transfers are reported from the page instead of a separate email
- Partial payments where you allow them, with a minimum you control
- Every payment is a permanent, auditable record
What it does not do
- MetroPay is not a payment processor and never holds your money; provider fees are between you and Stripe or SSLCommerz
- It does not store customer card details or offer saved cards
- It does not refund or dispute payments; you do that in your provider's own dashboard
