For freelancers

Invoicing for freelancers who would rather be working

You are the whole company. MetroPay gives you a branded invoice, a page your client can pay from, and follow-ups that run on their own, without the weight of accounting software you will never open.

Invoice composer: illustrative example. Northline Studio is a fictional business; none of these figures are real.

What you need done

Three jobs, and what MetroPay does about each

Every card ends with what the product does not do, so nothing here is a surprise after you sign up.

  • Sending the invoice the day the work ships

    The problem
The invoice waits until the evening, then until the weekend, because writing it means opening a document, finding the last number and remembering the rate.
    What MetroPay does
Your client, your items and your numbering are already there. Pick, add the lines, send. The email carries the PDF and a link to pay.
    What it does not do
It does not track your hours. You bill what you decide to bill.
  • Getting paid without writing the awkward email

    The problem
A polite nudge on day thirty is easy to promise yourself and hard to send to someone you like working with.
    What MetroPay does
Set a cadence once, switch reminders on, and the nudge goes out on schedule with a pay link in it. Every reminder is logged.
    What it does not do
Reminders are off until you turn them on, and they are email only. Nothing phones anyone.
  • Looking like a business, not a person with a PDF

    The problem
A generic invoice template with your name typed at the top reads as an afterthought to the client who forwards it to accounts.
    What MetroPay does
Your logo or letterhead on seven layouts, your own domain for the payment page if you want it, and numbering that never repeats.
    What it does not do
It does not design a brand for you. Upload the logo you have.

How it works

How freelancers use MetroPay

  1. Add the client

A name and an email is enough. Their currency and payment terms are remembered for next time.

  2. Send the invoice with a pay link

The client opens a page, downloads the PDF and pays by card, or follows your bank details.

  3. Record what came in

Card payments record themselves. A bank transfer arrives as a claim you confirm.

  4. Let the reminders follow up

Once you switch them on, the cadence handles the late ones and shows you what it sent.

The features that matter here

Built from the same product everyone gets

Every workspace has every feature. These are the ones this kind of business reaches for first.

  • Online invoicing

Create a branded invoice, email it with a payment link, and see at a glance whether it is draft, sent, paid or overdue.

  • Estimates

Quote the work, let the customer accept online, and turn the approved estimate into an invoice. An optional module you switch on per workspace.

    Optional module
  • Invoice templates

Seven PDF templates, your logo and letterhead, your own numbering, and custom fields, so every document looks like yours.

  • Payment links

A shareable link for a deposit, a retainer or any amount, with an optional expiry date, without writing a full invoice.

  • Payment reminders

Polite follow-ups before and after the due date, with a record of every reminder sent. Off until an owner turns them on.

Off until you turn it on
