For contractors
Estimates and invoices for contractors, job by job
Estimate the job, turn the accepted work into an invoice, ask for payment with a link, and see the outstanding balance across every job without a filing cabinet.
What you need done
Three jobs, and what MetroPay does about each
Every card ends with what the product does not do, so nothing here is a surprise after you sign up.
Estimating a job the customer can say yes to
- The problem
- The estimate is a photo of a handwritten sheet, and the yes is a text message. Neither is in the same place as the invoice that follows.
- What MetroPay does
- An estimate with the materials and labour lines, accepted from a link with the decision recorded, converted to a draft invoice when the job is done.
- What it does not do
- The estimates module is off until an owner switches it on. It does not price materials for you.
Getting paid at the end of the job, not the end of the month
- The problem
- The invoice is handed over on site and paid whenever the customer next does their banking.
- What MetroPay does
- A payment link or the invoice page lets the customer pay by card on the spot, or shows your bank details and lets them report the transfer.
- What it does not do
- MetroPay never holds your money. Card payments settle in your own Stripe or SSLCommerz account.
Knowing what is still owed across the jobs
- The problem
- Ten jobs in progress, a few invoices each, and the total outstanding is a guess until the bank statement arrives.
- What MetroPay does
- The dashboard shows total receivables and the aging buckets; each customer has a statement with every invoice and payment.
- What it does not do
- It does not track job costs or materials bought. It reports on what you invoiced and what came in.

Online payments
Customers pay by card or mobile wallet on the invoice page, through your own Stripe or SSLCommerz account. MetroPay never holds the money.
