For agencies
Billing for agencies with more than one person sending invoices
Estimates that turn into invoices, retainers that bill themselves into drafts, branded documents, and a team where the people who send invoices are not the people who move money.
What you need done
Three jobs, and what MetroPay does about each
Every card ends with what the product does not do, so nothing here is a surprise after you sign up.
Billing retainers on the first of the month
- The problem
- Six retainers, six invoices, and the first of the month is also the day three projects kick off. One always goes out on the ninth.
- What MetroPay does
- A recurring profile per retainer raises each period as a draft on the day. Review and send, or switch automatic sending on when you trust it.
- What it does not do
- It does not charge a saved card. Each invoice has its own page the client pays from.
Turning the proposal into the invoice
- The problem
- The estimate was accepted over email in March. In June someone rebuilds it as an invoice from memory and gets a line wrong.
- What MetroPay does
- With the estimates module on, the client accepts from a signed link and the accepted estimate converts to a draft invoice with the same lines.
- What it does not do
- The module is optional and off until an owner switches it on. It does not write contracts.
Letting account managers send invoices without the keys to the bank
- The problem
- Everyone uses the owner's login, so anyone can void an invoice or change the bank details, and nobody can say who did.
- What MetroPay does
- Staff create, edit and send. The accountant records money. Owners and admins change settings. Settings changes are logged by name.
- What it does not do
- There are four roles, not a custom permission builder, and every role sees the dashboard numbers.
How it works
How agencies use MetroPay
Set up the workspace once
Logo, letterhead, numbering, tax rates and the team with their roles.
Quote, then convert
Estimates go out for a decision; accepted ones become draft invoices without retyping.
Put retainers on a schedule
Each period arrives as a draft, numbered in your sequence, on the day.
Read the receivables, not the inbox
The dashboard shows what is outstanding, how late, and who owes it, for everyone on the team.
The features that matter here
Built from the same product everyone gets
Every workspace has every feature. These are the ones this kind of business reaches for first.

Off until you turn it onTeam permissions
Owner, Admin, Accountant and Staff roles keep money actions with the people who should have them.
Invoice templates
Seven PDF templates, your logo and letterhead, your own numbering, and custom fields, so every document looks like yours.
Reporting
Receivables aging, sales by customer, sales by item, and payments received. What you are owed, and who owes it.
